The Power of Mothers: How Faces Began

Faces honors the life of Frances Bailey[comma] the mother of Dr. Becky Bailey who founded Loving Guidance[comma] Inc. and created the Conscious Discipline program. Frances Bailey was a mother and educator who significantly impacted the lives of children and families. Like many excellent teachers[comma] she inspired and encouraged her students to overcome challenges and find joy in learning. Her teaching was never confined to strict curriculum[comma] but rather focused on meeting the needs of the whole child. By surrounding her students with love and acceptance[comma] she sparked the desire to succeed and celebrate the success of others. Inspired by her mother’s quiet yet passionate commitment to children and families[comma] Dr. Bailey seeks to help all teachers and administrators learn a better way to facilitate development and growth in both themselves and the children in their care. Conscious Discipline scientifically and practically integrates social-emotional learning and classroom management to achieve school-wide success.
